For most people, 1960s was a fun decade to remember. The nation was recovered from World War II and the economy was booming. Kids are fascinating by "Peanuts" and the Charlie Brown. American were embracing the birth of color TVs. rock and roll, Elvis, and Marilyn Monroe. And, the gas was only 20 cents per gallon. Many new innovations and inventions were made in 1960s. Some nostalgic candies were introduced in 1960s such as Atomic Fireballs, Hot Tamales, Anise Bears, Candy Necklaces, Dum Dum Lollipops, Wax Lips, Nik-l-Nip Wax Bottles, Sky Bars, Jawbreakers and more.

The "goovy" 60s! The decade of peace and love. That's what defines 1960s in many people's memories. 1960s brought us the unforgettable history of JFK, the Beatles, Martin Luther King "I have a dream" speech, Woodstock and the hippy movement, landing on the moon...New dances were invented in the 1960s including the Twist, the Jerk, the Swim, the Mashed potato, the Monkey, and the Watusi. The fashion world was dominated by bell-bottom jeans and mini skirts. And, oh, the goovy candies: Gummy Swedish Fish, Fruit Stripe Gum, Razzles, Twizzlers, Lemonheads and more.
